Teaching medical students and other doctors is an important part of our work and, to be a teaching and training practice, we must demonstrate the highest standard of medical care.
From time to time either a student or another doctor will be in attendance with your doctor. You will be notified if that is the case by the receptionist when you make your appointment and, if this may cause an embarrassment to you, a request to consult your doctor alone will be accepted without question.
In addition, we are an approved training practice to which fully qualified doctors with at least three years’ postgraduate experience, called registrars, are attached to gain special experience and training in General Practice.
Registrars usually spend one year with the practice and during that time carry out consultations, home visits and many other duties similar to the partners.
